From the heart of Davos, we ventured upward to the captivating Strela Pass. This spring hike, adorned with lingering snow at the pass, promised not just a scenic ascent but also a cardiovascular workout, with a relentless incline that keeps your heart pumping until you reach the summit. Ascending over 1000 meters, the trail offers a true sense of elevation – a challenge embraced for the rewarding views.


The path itself unfolds as a peaceful scene, adorned with wildflowers and alpine rose patches freshly defrosted from the winter months. creating a picturesque journey. Upon reaching the top, while the restaurant was closed, we seized the opportunity to make the most of the outdoor area, equipped with picnic tables. Sheltered from the wind, we transformed the moment into a casual retreat, indulging in card games amidst the breathtaking mountain panorama.


Though a beer at the summit would have been the perfect crown to our achievement, the closed restaurant posed no obstacle. Determination led us to a village find, securing a cold brew to savor alongside the stunning views. This hike isn't merely an ascent through elevations; it's a multisensory experience, where each step unveils the beauty of the trail, rewarding you with a sense of accomplishment at the mountain's pinnacle.
